Last summer Elery LeBlanc, President of TurningPoint Systems, Inc., and King Harrison III, President of K3S, began discussions of how both companies could work together in the C-Store industry. That synergy led to TurningPoint helping K3S to close new business in the 4th quarter of 2006 at Ohio Valley Wholesale. Developed in a unique collaboration with a team of its customers, its features and functionality reflect the clearly defined business requirements they needed in a web-based system.
The new Customer Portal provides Internet access availability 24/7. This solution provides real-time access to product, order and accounts receivable information. Retail Customers can access their wholesaler’s website to review price books, view product information, produce velocity reports, review purchase history, create and enter orders as well as to review promotional programs.
The Customer Portal incorporates an advanced technology solution that seamlessly integrates the web browser with its application software resident on its customers’ IBM iSeries computer. This not only extends the application code and database to the Internet, it also extends the capabilities of the iSeries computer to the Internet.
